Many of the electronics that would pass through Total Green Recycling still had plenty of life in them. Asset Recovery makes sure these electronics stay in their cycle of life before they get recycled. In our latest video we take you through what the issue is, and how we’re working to fix it.

The Lifecycle Partnership Program is here at last 🥳! We live in a fast paced world with new software and hardware making our electronics obsolete at a rapid rate.  We don’t want old electronics with sensitive data, clogging up your IT storeroom, or ending up in landfill. We’ve specially designed cages, and a system to deploy them in offices, to help this issue.

It’s bin a crazy Corona year for all of us! We’d like to say a big hearty thank you to all who stuck with us and helped us got through it.

With your help, we recycled over 2,500 tonnes of e-waste. That’s about 330 shipping containers! And we refurbished and repurposed over 15,000 electronic devices. We also donated 359 devices to charities across WA. So THANK YOU for helping us to help others!

Minister for Water; Forestry; Innovation and ICT; Science; Youth David Kelly visited our reuse facility last Wednesday to announce new research and development grants to help reduce e-waste.

Applications for WasteSorted E-Waste Grants are now open and close on November 16, 2020.

It stands for Lifecycle Partnership Program and will change the way IT Asset Management is being done for good.

In our latest article, we are sharing how easy it is to create jobs with recycling and how we could all benefit as a community from doing good for our environment.

During this exciting project, we teamed up with a technology provider Downer, and two employment providers for the differently-abled. As a result, one thousand and five hundred (1,500) switchboards that were destined to end up in landfill helped gain jobs for the disadvantaged.

The year 2019 has marked another significant milestone in the company’s history. We won our first grant and moved our facility for the seventh time. The minister for environment Stephen Dawson came to visit and we bought an exciting new optical sorter.

On Wednesday 22nd we held our first Press Conference ever and have officially launched a campaign urging the Western Australian Government to support local jobs and businesses by putting an end to e-waste, starting with a landfill ban.

Our current estimate is that there are now over 100 million panels installed on roofs around Australia and that many of these will soon be reaching their end of life. Our director Michael explains why landfilling solar panels is not the best idea and shares his suggestions for solutions going forward. Read more.

Last year was the greatest year yet. We have recycled 2356 Tonnes of e-waste which accounts for 500,000 electronic items. We completed our sixth move in 10 years to a larger facility in Kewdale and more than 23 new employees joined our team accounting for 41 staff. Read more.

We have filmed a first testimonial with our high achieving client the City of Stirling and are cutting a video which will show you the recycling process from the verge collection to our facility.
We met with several politicians and continue to invite important decision makers to spark the discussion about the future of e-waste in WA. Read more.
