At Total Green Recycling, we are committed to leading the charge in sustainable e-waste recycling. With a priority to protect the environment, we ensure that discarded electronics are responsibly processed, and prevent harmful materials from entering our ecosystem. Focusing on innovation, compliance and community impact, we provide solutions that benefit councils, businesses and the planet.
In 2008, brothers Michael and James Coghill started That Guy’s Recycling in their dad’s garage with one goal—tackling WA’s growing e-waste problem. What began with local council pickups and a small van soon evolved into something much bigger.
Realising the need for scale, we rebranded to Total Green Recycling and moved into larger facilities to handle bigger volumes. With innovative solutions for recycling CRT screens and plastics, we became known for pushing the boundaries of e-waste recycling in WA.
By 2011, we secured ISO 14001 accreditation and forged key partnerships with councils like the City of Stirling, collecting over 1,000 tonnes of e-waste annually. Our modular e-waste recycling plant, launched in 2013, set the standard for responsible disposal in WA.
Recognising the growing need for data security, we expanded into IT asset management and secure data destruction. We provide peace of mind to businesses and governments, ensuring that sensitive data is safely destroyed before recycling data.
Our dedicated team in Welshpool is focused on delivering secure and sustainable e-waste recycling solutions across WA. After selling our data destruction division in October 2024, we sharpened our focus exclusively on recycling, strengthening our commitment to innovative, compliant and community-driven e-waste management. With ambitious plans to expand beyond WA, we’re dedicated to growing our impact and continuing to lead in responsible recycling solutions.
