Computers & Mobile Devices

Recycle your outdated technology responsibly

Australian consumers are among the highest tech users in the world, so what do you do when your computer or mobile device becomes obsolete? Getting rid of unwanted computers and electronic goods is a growing problem, but it doesn’t have to be.

Did you know around 95% of the materials found in computers, mobiles and other technology could be reused or recycled? As part of the National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme (NCTRS), you can properly dispose of your computers and electronic gadgets for recycling free of charge. We offer this service to both commercial businesses and the general public.

Computers and mobile devices are considered electronic waste (e-waste), which contain toxic and hazardous materials such as lead, mercury, cadmium and arsenic. Exposure to waterways or landfill present serious health risks and environmental concerns.

We operate our own local e-waste recycling facility in Kewdale, one of only a few in Perth to be recognised nationally with ISO 14001 accreditation – the international standard for safe disposal of electronic waste.

Once your IT equipment is collected, it is transported to our recycling facility, where we carefully sort and separate materials and metals for recycling, to be used again for future manufacturing processes. Units and components that are still functional are resold and reused as second-hand parts.
