Total Green Recycling finalist in Waste Sorted awards

Total Green Recycling is excited to be a finalist in this years Waste Sorted awards!

Regional Waste Award

Total Green has been named as a finalist in Category 4 – Regional Waste Award alongside WALGA and Workpower. The team worked tirelessly to set up e-waste collection events in towns across WA. Over 20,000 kilograms of e-waste was recycled thanks to these temporary collections set up in regional towns across WA.  The aim behind these events was to make it easy and convenient for residents to recycle their e-waste while also educating residents.

Waste management and innovation award

Town of Cambridge is a finalist in Category 3 – Waste Management Award and Category 8 – Waste Innovation Award.  Cambridge partners with Total Green Recycling to host quarterly e-waste drop off days. Through these events they’ve diverted over 17,000kgs from landfill. They were the first to hire our Technology Re-use Centre, which was funded through the New Industries Fund. The Technology Re-use centre allows consumers to watch their data get safely destroyed and are provided certification along with photographic evidence. Uncertainty about how data is destroyed is a barrier to recycling e-waste, and the Technology re-use centre helps combat this. We were very happy to support their nomination for this years awards.

Previous awards

Total Green Recycling has a long history with the Waste Sorted awards, previously known as the Infinity Awards. Having received highly commended in the 2013 and 2018 awards.

The awards are being held on Thursday May 19th where the winners will be announced. We’re getting our tickets, and look forward to congratulating everyone in person!
